OnePlus 10R January 2023 security update expanding to more users [India]

OnePlus has begun the expansion of the January 2023 security update for the OnePlus 10R smartphone users in India. The new firmware welcomes a bunch of fixes for the calling interface and aims to improve the overall stability of the device. While it also provides a boost to the performance of the handset alongside.

The term ‘expansion’ reflects that the company has already rolled out the respective update for the OnePlus 10R devices in the Indian region. Notably, the firmware push was carrying C.16 build. However, due to technical reasons, the manufacturer stopped the C.16 version and developed a new iteration with the same facilities.

As of now, the OnePlus 10R users who have missed or didn’t upgrade to C.16 firmware, can identify the January 2023 security update with C.17 version. Consequently, the latest software is also covering two variants (just like before): the standard OnePlus 10R, and the OnePlus 10R Endurance Edition.

Now coming to the changelog, the update brings the freshly released January 2023 improvement patch that mends the security system of the device. It targets hidden privacy threats to make the core structure more firm and stable.
