Time to praise OnePlus because the phone maker has surprised us with a new software rollout for the out-of-software supply OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro smartphones with April 2023 important optimizations.
OnePlus released April 2023 update for OnePlus 7 with build version GM1901_11.H.40 and the OnePlus 7 Pro with GM1911_11.H.40. However, the update is only released for OnePlus 7 series users in India.
You should know that the software update is incremental and OnePlus is sharing the latest firmware with improvements for system stability. And it’s appreciated because OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro users could feel some changes in performance after the installation.
What’s more interesting? OnePlus is also seeding new fixes for issues that might impact your phone charging experience. It’s good to know that OnePlus noted this issue with my OnePlus 7. There’s one more bug fix and it’s related to the contacts, as the issue was causing in failure of loading new contacts.
Below you can check the full changelog of this software rollout.
System
- Improves system stability and performance.
- Fixes an issue that might affect charging.
Apps
- Fixes an issue where new contacts cannot be added.
For other?
As mentioned above, the company is sending this software update for only Indian users of OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro smartphones. And there could be an expansion for more markets.
OxygenOS 13?
Nope, it doesn’t seem like OnePlus is going to rollout the OxygenOS 13 upgrade for these devices due to hardware limitations and support for Android 13.
