OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro users facing several issues after the recent update

Posted on

A few months ago, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro with Android 10-based OxygenOS 10. After that, the company released the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 for these devices. Currently, the OxygenOS 11 is now available for the OnePlus 8 series including the newly launched OnePlus 8T.

The Chinese smartphone maker has just started to roll out a new OxygenOS 11.0.2.2 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro devices. The update comes with many fixes while following its release, users have started reporting some bugs.

As per the multiple reports on the forum, the Youtube landscape mode is not working properly. YouTube stucks in landscape mode every time after watching videos in full screen. Users are not able to revert it to the portrait modes using YouTube controls.

Some users have also reported bugs regarding their Airtel SIM card. The reports on the community forum say that Airtel SIM has gone off after the update and it is showing ‘invalid card’.

Aside from hardware defects, the mobile carrier could also be responsible for this problem but as the users mention this issue continues after the latest November 2020 security patch.

For now, the company or any staff member has not stated on the entire matter. Hope the company will soon acknowledge the issues and provide another OTA update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
