We are in August and still, OnePlus has not served the July 2023 update to many of its devices including the OnePlus 8 series. Eventually, the wait is quite exhausting as users are constantly dealing with some annoying bugs and issues found in the last software build.
OnePlus 8 series has started shifting towards the old handsets category. Yet, it counts as one of the finest and most powerful models when it comes to performance and optical capabilities. However, these devices are still far away from the benefits of the latest-released security patch.
Meanwhile, the Chinese tech giant continues to treat other phones along with Nord models effectively and blessed them with the latest security improvements. You can check these devices with July 2023 security patch – HERE.
Compared to previous rollouts, OnePlus is running quite slow as it has not started the August 2023 security update distribution. Eventually, things are stretching too far but the company has not revealed any special reason behind this delay.
Reasons:
At some point, the delay in security patch rollouts could be the side effect of the OxygenOS 14 closed beta. Yes, the manufacturer has recently initiated the internal testing program for OnePlus 11. Perhaps, we could find the official software release by late September or early October.
Due to this preparation, the company might have slowed down the patch distribution process among its devices. Another reason could be the Fold developments that are expected to give a tough spot to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 model.
