Have you received April 2023 OxygenOS update on OnePlus phone

Posted on

April 2023 is sliding to an end and OnePlus fans are still waiting for a new OxygenOS update. Though the tech maker has begun rolling out a new security patch. However, once again the update distribution speed has slowed down.

To begin with, OnePlus chose the effective Nord N100 as the first model to deliver April 2023 firmware. This ultimately proves that the tech maker knows how to take care of its gadgets by offering security updates. Though the rollout was a little late, it was quite satisfactory to users.

Thereafter, the company started pushing the April 2023 patch to the Nord 2 devices that were in the wait for a major OxygenOS 13 upgrade. Following the speed, the manufacturer brought security improvements for OnePlus 8/ 8 Pro, Nord N200, and Nord CE 2 Lite, and gradually expanded it to more regions as well.

On the side hand, OnePlus released the eye-binding and most interesting – OxygenOS 13.1 update for the Nord CE 3 Lite and OnePlus 10 Pro models. However, this super fast express delivering dynamic upgrades and improvements to its devices has suddenly stopped.

In recent times, we didn’t grab any official threads reflecting the April 2023 patch for OnePlus devices. A major reason behind this pause could be the improvements in the OxygenOS 13.1 features, specifically the Continuity element that was removed due to technical issues.

Thus, a wait in this process could be considered to some point. Yet, it would be better if the company retain the usual security update routine, and brought the latest firmware to its handy gadgets.

Meanwhile, don’t forget to grab the April 2023 update if you are holding any of the above-mentioned devices. It is worth noting that OnePlus releases updates in batches. Thus, it may take some time to cover all the eligible units. Though you can sneak into the Settings menu to obtain the firmware manually.
