OnePlus confirms to add Media Output feature with next update
OnePlus has finally confirmed the addition of the Media Output feature with the upcoming OxygenOS 13 versions. The respective tool is already present in the latest flagship OnePlus 11. But soon we may find them in old devices as well.
According to the highlights of an FAQ session, a OnePlus user asked to implement an option that eases the access of Bluetooth and speakers function. Notably, this is not the first time that fans are asking for better accessibility of media tools.
So far, we come across several users on the forum requesting an effective media tab in the Quick Settings panel. In addition, a few OnePlus phone holders also pointed out that Bluetooth and other media functions were easy to operate before OxygenOS 13.
However, the Android 13-based upgrade has removed several useful stuff. As of now, you have to enter the Settings menu to manage Bluetooth and other features.
Making this statement a focal point, a user asked to add an option to swap between Bluetooth and speakers as the current switch is faint and doesn’t work accurately.
Gladly, the OnePlus moderator respond that the suggestions have been noted down, and the company has already added a feature called Media Output to OnePlus 11. The tool is visible in the Control Center.
Adding more, the moderator said that this feature will avail with the subsequent release of OxygenOS 13 updates. As a result, the OnePlus device users can freely switch between Bluetooth and speakers in all scenarios, while using mass media.
Alternatively, this information also hints that we may get this feature to see in other flagship models as well. For instance, OnePlus 10 series, OnePlus 9 lineup, and Nord handsets.
