OnePlus, is there any chance of OxygenOS 13.1.1?

Posted on

May 2023 is about to wrap up and we are still waiting for the OxygenOS 13.1 on past phones, as the flagship models are the only ones with this software access in certain markets. However, there’s still a chance that we can start an early discussion on OnePlus OxygenOS 13.1.1.

We get it, the company has not released the new OxygenOS 13.1 for old devices. Yet, we are here to talk about software that is not even announced. On that, we have to explain a few things before you jump to the conclusion. So let’s begin the exploration of this matter.

A well-known OnePlus analyst @Some_Random_Username found new tweaks regarding the software segment. The tipster mentioned a few pieces of evidence that highlights the OxygenOS 13.1.1 build on the budget-friendly phone – Nord N20 SE.

The handset has recently grabbed OxygenOS 13 beta in the global market. But here comes the interesting part. Unlike other OS 13 beta builds, this rollout is not based on OxygenSO 13.0. Instead, it holds a different build version which is quite surprising.

More specifically, the user dives into the depth of this case and inspected the build software properties. As a result, he found that the OxygenOS 13 beta build for the OnePlus Nord N20 SE is based on OxygenOS 13.1.1, and the exact build number is CPH246922875_13.1.1.24 (EX01).

Since this whole scenario could appear as a fake instance, the user shared the screenshot where the build version particularly reads V13.1.1 for the Nord N20 SE smartphone. You can check the image below.

In terms of features, the observer said that he didn’t notice any major functionalities in this version, as it is in OxygenOS 13.1. For example, the new TalkBack element, Zen Space, O Relax, Global Search, and Shelf are missing. Yet, the news itself has created a bizarre and has several questions to answer, which are as follows:

  • What is OxygenOS 13.1.1?
  • Will the missing functionalities become available in the future with 13.1.1 builds for the device?
  • Will other OnePlus devices receive OxygenOS 13.1.1 as well?

And of course, most importantly, is there really any chance for OnePlus OxygenOS 13.1.1 in the time ahead?
