OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Power Saving Mode
OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Power Saving Mode or Battery Saver also comes with an option that automatically ON a routine basis. In this mode, battery saving is triggered at a certain time based on the usage of your mobile phone. Alternatively, you can enable this feature manually by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Now.
OnePlus Power Saving Mode limits background activity, reduces visual effects, limits screen resolution and refresh rate, and extends mobile battery life. Everything running in the background works normally, even in battery-saving mode. The purpose of this feature is to limit the use of background apps and network activity when the smartphone is in standby mode.
High-Performance Mode with Optimal Charging on your OnePlus phone
With OxygenOS 12.1 OnePlus has introduced a new feature that is High-Performance Mode. In this feature, the system always operates in a high-performance mode, but it will increase extra power consumption.
If you leave your smartphone plugged in overnight, it will only charge to 80% before the battery runs out. The remaining 20% of the charge occurs just before waking up. In this way, the phone does not connect to 100% charge. The Optimized Charging takes a few days to detect your usage habits and then starts charging the remaining 20 percent of the time to fully charge your phone just before you wake up.
Using such features while charging your OnePlus smartphone makes the battery last longer. It’s common for every device’s batteries to degrade to about 90% within just six months. So, this feature is very useful to avoid battery problems after a year or two.
