OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Super Macro Mode Camera Feature
OnePlus smartphones come with tweaked camera settings a bit. OnePlus actually approved a 3-year partnership with Hasselblad, and these are the first devices to manage the Hasselblad brand. Hasselblad had its hands on the color science for these two phones, but not much else yet.

However, OnePlus has managed to do some work in the camera department on its own. In this article, we will show you how to access the main camera mode in the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 as it is one of the best camera setup features for both these phones.
The OnePlus 9 Pro uses its wide-angle camera as its main camera. Because that very wide sensor is actually pretty cool. OnePlus decided to use a 50-megapixel camera sensor (Sony IMX766) here and attached a freeform lens to it. In addition to the wide range of images, that camera takes excellent pictures.

OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Super Macro Mode Camera Feature
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro come with a dedicated camera mode. If you look at the image below this section, you will be able to see it in the menu on the left. The mode is called “Super Macro” and it is recommended that you use it to shoot distances between 1-1.5 inches. That mode is marked with a flower icon and is located in the center with the menu on the left side of the camera UI.
Now, many of you must be wondering if this mode works for itself. The answer is yes, it happens on both phones. The OnePlus 9 Pro will automatically go into “Super Macro” mode without any problems when needed.
How to take the best shot!
That being said, once the phone is powered on, or do it yourself, you will get a really powerful photo shooter. This allows you to get really close to the subject, and get a really good image with a lot of detail on it. Phones that don’t have the correct macro mode may not turn off. Note that this mode works best in good light. You can use it in low light too, but here’s your limit. If the event is really blurry, it won’t be very useful, although that should be expected.
Photos taken in the “OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Super Macro Mode” look different from photos from the main sensor. They’re a bit cool, and the colors aren’t as bright as a bigger camera. Don’t get me wrong, the colors are great and close to what you can find on the main camera, but a little different. Again, this is to be expected, and it’s not a bad thing at all.
What’s More
Another thing to note is that you can use the “Super Macro” mode even when you’re zoomed in. You can use this depending on the lens selected in the camera UI or the widest phone lens used for large photography.
