After Oppo filed a counterclaim against Nokia’s patent infringement in China and Europe in early September, Oppo once again filed multiple patent infringement lawsuits against Nokia in Mannheim Court in Germany.
The patents included are all 5G standard required patents. It is also Oppo’s continued effort to counter Nokia’s lawsuit, after launching several patent infringement lawsuits against Nokia in early September.

In early July this year, Nokia simultaneously filed dozens of patent infringement lawsuits against Oppo in nine countries around the world, including India, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The industry speculates that the dispute may be due to the two parties failing to reach an agreement on 5G patent licensing.
Nokia continues its aggressive licensing strategy aimed at forcing OPPO to accept its extremely high patent licensing fees through litigation.
In early September, Oppo immediately launched several patent infringement lawsuits against Nokia in China and Europe, using its 5G base station patent. According to IAM Media, a well-known foreign intellectual property media, OPPO filed the lawsuit on September 9 in Beijing Intellectual Property Court in China, Munich, and Hamburg courts in Germany.
