OxygenOS 13 brings iOS-like large folders
OnePlus has taken a more appropriate approach to organize its widgets and folders, including all the icons. Similarly, OxygenOS 13 provides new widgets in a very simple way. A list that scrolls vertically alphabetically in a similar UI design. Whether you will appreciate it or not but the OnePlus OxygenOS 13 brings iOS-like large folders.

However, OxygenOS 13 changes are something similar to Apple iOS. I like the gallery implementation of the app. You will see a large folder that you can tap on to open the app. One such big folder has now been introduced for the OnePlus smartphone with OxygenOS 13. You can use it just by long pressing a folder to increase its size from 1×1 to 2×2.
It offers large and small folders that are dynamically adjusted for better organization. Smart experiences extend to widgets, better app management, and update notifications for easy content management.
Once changed, you can tap on the app icon to open it directly without having to open the folder. It’s the best of both worlds. A small area of your home screen can hold a lot of apps. The apps you use the most are just a tap away. Wonderful.
On the other hand, OxygenOS 13 also includes new widgets borrowed directly from Google’s Material You. However, older accessories such as the clock, weather and Google Calendar have also been changed to match the new style. My personal favorite is the Screen Time widget, which shows you how much time you’ve spent on each app and reminds you to stop scrolling through a wealth of social media. Widgets also support other apps like Spotify, Google Keep, etc.
Google started taking widgets seriously with Android 12 last year. It’s an uphill battle that the company continues with Android 13. There is still a lot of work to be done, but it is also great to see OPPO contribute and improve in this battle. There are also several unique widgets.
