OnePlus officially unveiled OxygenOS 14 with incredible and significant features. But apart from new implications, it seems the tech giant has just copy-pasted one of the prominent features of Apple – Dynamic Island for the OxygenOS 14 software upgrade.
Some eager analysts on X (Twitter) continue to explore the beta builds that are emerging for the top-end models. Speaking of which, tipster @ShishirShelke1 noted that OxygenOS 14 has replicated Apple’s Dynamic Island, specifically for screen recorder controls.
The tipster further shared a video, showing a tiny chip slightly at the top-left side of the device. Eventually, the chip points out a timer and opens up a full card when pressed for a long while. This is quite similar to what we see on Apple iPhones these days.
It is worth mentioning that, unlike Apple, OxygenOS 14’s Dynamic Island is not constant throughout the phone’s app and experience. Besides, it seems that things only work for screen recording segments with useful controls, for the moment. Although we may expect changes with future updates.

Everything combined, it’s not a complete copy but yes, a few points are likewise. It’s unclear whether this feature will be available with a stable release or not. By that time, let us know whether you like or dislike this feature in the comment section.
