OnePlus Nord 2T is the most popular smartphone in the market but there is a lot of confusion on whether the device is the part of OxygenOS 14 upgrade plan. Given the fact that Nord 2T still rules among its owners, the handset should receive the next major software update.
Since Android 14 (OxygenOS) appeared in the headlines, OnePlus Nord 2T users are asking about the chances of upgrading to the latest version. It’s quite an interesting topic so, let’s talk about it.
OnePlus Nord 2T came into existence in May 2022 with OxygenOS 12 out of the box, which is one step ahead of the 11th version. The phone later received OxygenOS 13 and in the current scenario, waiting for the 13.1 version. Being a mid-range device with ‘not-so-high-fy’ tech elements, the device is still capable of giving a tough spot to many of the top-end models in the market.
However, OnePlus plays an odd game when it comes to software distribution among its devices. Meanwhile, as per the previous update policy, only a few devices are eligible for the next OxygenOS version. Eventually, it raise the question of the eligibility of many models, especially the OnePlus 8 series, and Nord 2T devices. Note that there’s no supreme denial on the rest of the smartphones.
On the flip side, Nord 2T is still away from the perks of OxygenOS 13.1 which again creates doubt on its compatibility with the OxygenOS 14 upgrade. But if we take a look into flashbacks, OnePlus often skips such features from its Android skin that aren’t fit with its devices. In that case, Nord 2T should also be eligible to install the upcoming software build.
