A curious source revealed this information. Google’s Search product card indexed some listings from T-Mobile for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, though these listings were quickly removed.
Pricing Details:
- Two listings for the “Google Pixel 9 Pro” were found, both priced at $999.99.
- The “Google Pixel 9 Pro XL” with 256 GB storage was listed at $1,199.99.
- A 512 GB version of the Pixel 9 Pro XL was also listed at $1,199.99.
Pre-order Promotions: In Europe, pre-ordering the Pixel 9 series comes with a storage upgrade promotion and 12 months of Gemini Advanced. This promotion seems to be extending to the US as well, confirmed by Roland Quandt on X for AT&T.
Expected Pricing Structure:
- The 128 GB Pixel 9 Pro is expected to be priced at $999. However, during the pre-order period, you can get the 256 GB model for the same price.
- The 256 GB Pixel 9 Pro XL is priced at $1,199, but pre-ordering will get you the 512 GB model for the same price.
Comparison with Previous Models: Last year, upgrading from 128 GB to 256 GB cost an additional $60, while going from 256 GB to 512 GB cost $120. For the Pixel 9 series, Google seems to be setting a $100 price difference, which could make the 128 GB Pixel 9 Pro XL cost $1,099—$100 more than the 128 GB Pixel 8 Pro.
These details give us a clearer picture of what to expect in terms of pricing and pre-order benefits for the new Pixel 9 series in the US.
In the US Google seems to take a page from Samsung’s playbook by selling you a Pixel 9 Pro XL 512GB for the price of a 256GB model. At least that seems to be something AT&T will be doing.
