The developer has now added the ability to turn on/off the Air Quality alerts feature to the Pixel Launcher At a Glance widget. The At a Glance widget acquired this Air Quality alert feature in the mid of 2022 and now the feature is getting more optimized.

This Pixel At a Glance Air Quality alerts feature earlier remains enabled on your smartphone, but now you have the ability to turn it on/off as per your preference. This means whenever you go outside in pollution, you can enable this feature and check the quality of the air to get protected.

This AQI (Air Quality) alert in the At a Glance widget appears on the home screen and lock screen with a small colored dot alongside the numerical value that ranges from 0-500. The dot’s color will depend on how bad the air quality is in your area.
Whenever the dot shows yellow color means the air is moderate. Whereas, the orange color shows unhealthy air which can affect your health and can lead to respiratory disease. Notably, this setting for Air Quality alerts on Pixel rolled out as a server-side update.
To enable the Air Quality Alert feature visit the Google Assistant settings, now tap on At a Glance. Here you will see the “Air Quality” feature which resides in between Weather and Alert options.
