Today, Xiaomi launched an all-new Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone in India, with a bundle of outstanding software and hardware aspects. It’s a member of the Redmi Note 12 series which was launched globally on March 23, and this particular 4G model has made its debut in the European market last week.

The Redmi Note 12 4G is built around a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1,200 nits peak brightness level.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It boots MIUI 14 based on Android 13. The handset sports a triple camera system comprising a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. Whereas, on the front, it has a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
Further, the connectivity options on the Redmi Note 4G include dual SIM, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and USB Type-C. Unfortunately, the phone lacks dual stereo speakers but arrives with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

The Redmi Note 12 4G is available in India with two storage options including 6GB RAM + 64GB Storage which is set at a price of ₹14,999. Whereas the 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant is available at ₹16,999. Additionally, you will have three color options to choose from which are Lunar Black, Frosted Ice Blue, or Sunrise Gold.

Xiaomi has presented a limited-time offer, buyers can avail of a ₹1,000 discount on ICICI Bank credit cards. Furthermore, the phone will be available for purchase from 12 PM IST on April 6 via Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and leading retail stores nationwide.

Xiaomi has also introduced the Redmi 12C an entry-level device in India, which features a 6.71-inch IPS LCD panel that produces an HD+ resolution and runs on the Android 12 operating system with MUI 13. Under the hood, the device features the Helio G85 chipset paired with 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 5 GB of virtual RAM, and up to 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
On the back, the device equips a 50-megapixel main camera, a depth sensor, and an LED flash, it has a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The Redmi 12C smartphone further powers a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support and includes a face unlock, fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The smartphone has arrived in options, such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for Rs 8,999 (~$109) and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for Rs 10,999 (~$134). It can be purchased in colors like Graphite Grey, Ocean Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple. The first sale of the device will be carried out on April 6 via Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Store, and offline stores.
