Redmi Note 9S gets Android 12/MIUI 13 update

Xiaomi has started rolling out the major Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for the Redmi Note 9S in the global market. This update is the last major update for this model as it has acquired 1 Android update and 2 MIUI updates.

This latest MIUI 13 update for Redmi Note 9S can be identified via the MIUI build version V13.0.2.0.SJWMIXM and updated package size of approximately 2.6 GB. Also, it brings several new features and improvements along with a July 2022 Android security patch.

According to the information, the MIUI 13 update introduced some interesting features such as Crystallization” super wallpapers, a new widget ecosystem, protective watermarks for images, MI smart hub, Mi AI voice assistant, and many more.

According to the changelog, this update has enhanced the mind map nodes which are now more appropriate and reflective. Also, it brings optimization for many apps and boosts the performance of some applications like Phone, Clock, and Weather apps.

With the Android 12 operating system, this update also has a July 2022 Android security patch it is a part of the monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) process that fixes the various level of Critical and high-security threats and vulnerabilities. Below you can check the update changelog.
