The electric two-wheeler manufacturer eBikeGo has received 1,06,000 booking orders for its Rugged EV. The Rugged EV was launched in August and is available for pre-orders since then for a token amount of Rs. 499.
The Rugged EV cost Rs. 80,000. for its G1 variant and cost Rs. 1,00,000 for its G1+ variant (ex-showroom). The company has noted that 67% of orders are received from rural areas.
The company is expected to receive 50,000 more orders for The Rugged EV before Diwali. The company has also started a referral scheme to increase the sail of the Rugged EV.
The Rugged EV is powered by two 1.9 kW swappable battery packs that power’s a bushless DC electric motor that produces 2 to 4 bhp of maximum power.
The scooter can achieve a top speed of 75 kmph and 160 km of range in eco mode and 130 km of range in Power mode in a single charge. The battery takes 4 hours to fully charge with a standard charger.
