This partnership will enable CBRS to provide Mercury Broadband with Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) broadband connectivity and better services to customers in remote areas across multiple states.

According to the Pew Research Center, 30 percent of Americans live in rural areas without a broadband connection, and the digital divide remains an ongoing problem in the United States. The CBRS-radio-frequency spectrum from 3.5 GHz to 3.7 GHz helps to bridge this gap, using the Internet in remote and rural areas.

By agreement, t3 Broadband will provide Mercury Broadband with Samsung’s latest CBRS solutions, including its powerful 64T64R giant MIMO radio and CDU50 baseband units. These will be implemented on more than 500 FWA sites on the Mercury Broadband Network in Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana before expanding to additional states by 2025.

Samsung and t3 support service requests, while t3 Mercury oversees the engineering of the broadband network. Samsung networks are leading the way with the successful delivery of 5G end-to-end solutions, including chipsets, radios, and cores.

Through ongoing research and development, Samsung continues to push the industry to advance its market-leading product portfolio from fully virtualized RAN and core to private network solutions. The company currently offers network solutions to mobile operators that provide connectivity to millions of users worldwide.
