Samsung Exynos 2400 chip production begins, here are the key specs

After the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung started working on a new flagship chip – Exynos 2400. The Korean tech giant has already initiated mass production, and we will soon have the official news on this matter.

So far, Samsung was in rumors of building a new chip (Exynos 2400) secretly. As per the details, the chipset will offer better, improved, and smoother performance for the upcoming high-end models and smartphone lineups (Galaxy S24).

In the meantime, some internal sources hint that the next coming Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC has been approved for mass production. In addition, the information also suggests that the first samples of the chipset will be delivered by June 2023.

For the specs, the Exynos 2400 processor includes a four-cluster 10-core design, including 1x Cortex-X4 + 2x Cortex-A720 (high frequency) + 3x Cortex-A720 (low frequency) + 4x Cortex-A520.

Earlier, we heard that the chip area is 30% larger than the Exynos 2200 (about 130 square mm) similar to the Apple M1. For now, the chip allegedly had to downclock the Cortex-X4 core, which may change in mass production.

Besides, the Exynos 2400 would also use Samsung’s 4LPP+ manufacturing process as well as AI performance is expected to be 44 TOPS. Let us what more we will get in this chipset in the time ahead.
