One UI 3.0 with Android 11 now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy M30s

Posted on

Back in October 2020, Samsung announced the One UI 3 beta testing program for the Galaxy S20 series devices. Later on, the company has expanded the beta activity to more eligible flagships and budget phones.

Just after two months of beta trial, the Korean tech giant has started delivering the Android 11 upgrade to the Galaxy Note 20, Note 10, S10, Flip/Fold 2, and other smartphones. Moreover, the company has also updated some popular mid-range phones such as the Galaxy A51, Galaxy M31, Galaxy M21, and Galaxy F41.

Now, as per the latest info, Samsung pushed the One UI 3.0 features to the Galaxy M30s devices in India. However, the Galaxy M30s is a budget device so it is getting the Core version of One UI 3.0 which lacks some major functions such as Samsung DeX.

Spotted on Twitter (via SamMobile), the Android 11 update for the Galaxy M30s bears a firmware version of M307FXXU4CUAG. Other than the major Android version, it adds the January 2021’s security patch that increases the system security against threats and CVEs.

It is unclear whether the company will expand this update outside of India. Just like every time, it will be available widely in the coming days/weeks. If you’ve owned the Galaxy M30s model then check for the update manually by heading to your device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.

Android 11 update comes with several new features and improvements like Chat Bubbles, one-time permissions, better privacy controls, notification history, screen recorder, and more.

Samsung’s One UI 3.0 brings various changes in the user interface that directly reflect on the lock screen, app drawer, notification panel, Settings menu, and more. Moreover, it also optimizes the system and system functions for a better user experience.
