Samsung Galaxy M31s joins the party with One UI 3.0 Android 11 update

Yesterday, Samsung Galaxy M30s device has started receiving the Android 11 upgrade in India. Now, the company is releasing this major Android update to another mid-range smartphone that is the Galaxy M31s. Apart from the One UI 3.0, this update also includes the February 2021 security patch for better device protection.

Initially rolling out in Russia and Ukraine, the latest firmware update for the Galaxy M31s bears a firmware version of M317FXXU2CUB1. Users will get all the goodies of Android 11 and One UI 3.0 with this new software update. The Galaxy M31s launched with the Android 10-based One UI 2.5 which means, it is the first Android update for this smartphone and it will also receive the Android 12 features next year.

Based on Android 11, the One UI 3.0 comes with various changes in the user interface that directly reflect on the lock screen, app drawer, notification panel, Settings menu, and more. On the other hand, it also optimizes the system and system functions for increased user experience.

Google’s Android 11 OS brings many new features and functionalities such as one-time permissions, Chat Bubbles, notification history, screen recorder, better privacy controls, and more.

Samsung launched the One UI 3.0 beta program for the Galaxy S20 flagships back in October 2020. Moving forward, the Korean tech giant has also opened the door of One UI 3.0 beta testing for various flagship and mid-range phones.

In a very short time, the company has begun releasing the stable One UI 3.0 update to the Galaxy Note 20, Note 10, S10, Flip/Fold 2, and other devices. Furthermore, the Galaxy A51, Galaxy M31, Galaxy M21, Galaxy F41, Galaxy M30s have also received the changes and features of One UI 3.0.

Since it’s an initial rollout, so it is still unclear whether this software will cross the boundaries of Russia and Ukraine. As per Samsung’s strategy, it will be available widely in the coming days/weeks after verifying its stability.
