Samsung Galaxy S20 getting One UI 3.1 update in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the latest features of the One UI 3.1 update with the Galaxy S20 phones on February 18 for select countries. Initially, the update started to roll out in South Korea and Germany, and later it was also expanded to Indian users.

Now as per the info, the company is releasing One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy S20 series in the United States. The update is now available for the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

In addition, it also brings the latest March 2021 security patch for improved system security and device stability. You can check the software versions for the Samsung Galaxy S20 models below.

  • G981U1UEU1DUB7 – Samsung Galaxy S20 5G
  • G986U1UEU1DUB7 – Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G
  • G988U1UEU1DUB7 – Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

With the One UI 3.1 update, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra users will be able to shoot dynamic photos and videos with new smart camera features like improved Single Take, Object eraser tool, touch autofocus, autoexposure controller, and Multi Mic Recording.

Furthermore, after updating your Galaxy S20, head into your Settings to find One UI 3.1’s new Eye Comfort Shield mode that automatically adjusts the blue light based on the time of day. In addition, you can also remove metadata that reveals the location of photos before you share them.

How to check for updates manually:

  • Open device Settings
  • Find and select the Software updates menu
  • Finally, tap on Download and install button.
