Samsung is preparing to release the Galaxy S23 series in early 2023, and it has recently been reported that this series of models will be officially released as early as January next year.
Today, the Samsung Galaxy S23+ has appeared on Geekbench. Although it is the US version, it is still equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor and 8GB of running memory.

This model is equipped with an octa-core SoC code-named Kalama, configured as 1 + 4 + 3 or 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 cores, the super core can reach a frequency of 3.36GHz, and the three large cores are 2.80 GHz. It runs at a frequency of GHz with an integrated Adreno 740 GPU.
In addition to the chipset details, the model is revealed to be equipped with 8GB of RAM, running Android 13, and Geekbench 5 scored a single-core score of 1,485 points, while the multi-core part scored 4,844 points.
According to the official Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 running score, the highest single-core 1333, multi-core 4211, is equivalent to a 14% increase in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 single-core, and a 9% increase in the multi-core.
For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra model that has previously appeared on Geekbench is SM-S918U, with a single-core score of 1521 and a multi-core score of 4689; the Samsung Galaxy S23 model is SM-S911U, with a single-core score of 1524 and a multi-core score of 4597.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit will be held in Hawaii from November 15th to 17th this year. According to the previous rules, Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (SM8550), will be released at this summit.
Moreover, the revealer @Ice Universe previously revealed that compared to the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 has an improvement of about 10%: among them, the CPU performance is increased by 10%, the CPU energy efficiency is increased by 15%, the GPU is increased by 20%, and the NPU is increased by 10%, AI performance is improved by 50%, and ISP is also greatly improved.
