Samsung is hustling for the launch of the Galaxy S23 Fan Edition smartphone. On the flip side, we are getting new rumors regarding the key specs of the FE device. At present, a leak hints that Samsung Galaxy S23 FE may equip the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

As per some internal leaks, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE (Fan Edition) smartphone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This also indicates that the tech maker is trying to keep the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” exclusive to the S23 series without compromising on S23 FE.

But don’t worry as the named processor is also a good choice for smartphones. Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 is manufactured by Taiwan’s TSMC, which is an overclocked version of the chipset used in the Galaxy S22 flagships. Notably, Samsung used the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable gadgets.

In addition, the leak reveals that the reason behind using Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 in Galaxy S23 FE is pricing. It will be helping the Korean tech giant to introduce the Galaxy S23 FE at striking (flagship-killer) pricing to rival Chinese phones such as the OnePlus 11R 5G.
