According to TheElec, the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone will feature four camera sensors on the back including 200MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto, and 10MP fold zoom telephoto. In addition, the Korean outlet also revealed details of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera sensor supplier.
Going forward, China-based Sunny Optical will supply the Galaxy S23 Ultra with two camera sensors, including a folded zoom and an ultra-wide. The Chinese company has been supplying camera sensors for mid-range Galaxy smartphones, and the company is now opting for its Ultra flagship as well.
In addition to Sunny Optical, Samsung Electro-Mechanics will also provide a folded zoom telephoto, while Namuga will provide an ultra-wide sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone. Mcnex and Partron will also offer a 10MP telephoto camera.
It is reported that Samsung is internally testing the 200MP camera sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which may launch as the Galaxy-exclusive ISOCELL HP2. According to the latest report, Samsung itself will supply its Electro-Mechanics subsidiary with a 200MP main camera.
The deal to supply the camera sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra is definitely a very lucrative deal for Sunny Optical. It is reported that the South Korean tech giant is focusing on producing the most numerous S23 Ultra in the lineup.
