Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 gets Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update

Samsung is currently rolling out the latest One UI 3.1 update for its eligible Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Tab S7 series was the first to get these latest changes over the air. And further, the company has extended this release to a number of Galaxy phones and tablets as well.

According to the latest information, the Galaxy Tab Active 3, which comes pre-installed with One UI 2.5 on the top of Android 10, started receiving its first major s/w update in the form of Android 11. However, the OEM is directly sending the One UI 3.1 version to the remaining devices, the Tab Active 3 also upgrading to the 3.1 version of One UI.

The latest firmware can be identified with the software version T575XXU3BUD5 and it is currently spreading in select European markets, mainly in Switzerland. Since it’s a big update, it also includes a newer security patch dated March 2021, which improves the system security against several vulnerabilities.

The latest version of Samsung’s custom skin, One UI 3.1 carries a number of new features including Object Eraser, Private Share, Samsung Free, Eye Comfort Shield, Google Duo integration with stock dialer app, buds Auto-Switching, ability to remove location data before sharing, and more.

Aside from One UI, this package included the Android 11 version that adds a number of powerful functions such as Chat Bubbles that help you to focus on your current work, one-time permissions to apps, pin conversations, security improvements, notification history, better privacy controls, a built-in screen recorder, and much more.

How to check for updates:

  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll down to Software updates
  • Then click on Download and install
