Verizon Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets One UI 3.1 update
Samsung announced the updated plan of the One UI 3.1 on February 18, 2021, and started rolling out the latest One UI 3.1 update with the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series phones. As of now, this update has been delivered to many flagship phones including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices.
Now, as per the latest news, Verizon has started sending this update for the locked Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices along with the February 2021 security patch for improved security and device stability. The latest One UI 3.1 comes with many new changes over the previous one and gives a refreshed look to the user interface.
After updating your Galaxy Z Fold 2 with the One UI 3.1, you can also remove metadata that reveals the location of photos before you share them. Besides, you will be able to find the new Eye Comfort Shield mode on device Settings. The Eye Comfort Shield mode adjusts the blue light based on the time of day automatically.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 owners can click or shoot dynamic photos and videos with new smart camera feature like autoexposure controller, touch autofocus, Multi Mic Recording, improved Single Take and Object eraser tool. On the other hand, the One UI 3.1 doesn’t provide Director’s view feature for these foldable handsets.
Users can identify this update via the firmware version F916USQU1DUB7. It is important to note that this latest update is initially rolling out and will soon be available for every Verizon-locked Galaxy Z Fold 2.
If you have already received the One UI 3.1 over OTA then push down the notification panel and head towards the Settings. Scroll down to the Software updates section and then click on Download and install.
