Samsung has recently unveiled its latest development in the tech world as 10.7Gbps LPDDR5X DRAM. This is the industry’s first DRAM to support the highest performance of up to 10.7 gigabits per second and is specifically designed to optimize on-device AI, taking artificial intelligence to a new level.
Samsung 10.7Gbps LPDDR5X DRAM
With the increasing demand for AI capabilities, Samsung has recognized the need for faster and more efficient processing power, so it introduced the LPDDR5X DRAM. It boasts a staggering data transfer rate of 10.7Gbps, allowing for smoother, fast,er and more optimized AI operations on Galaxy devices.
This newly unveiled 10.7Gbps LPDDR5X adds a boost to the device’s performance by up to 25% and capacity by more than 30%. It also expands the single package capacity of mobile DRAM up to 32GB, making it a perfect option for the on-device AI era that requires high performance, low-power memory, and more.
Overall, the LPDDR5X DRAM is more power-efficient, as it minimizes energy consumption while maximizing performance, resulting in longer battery life for your devices. However, the mass production of the industry’s first 10.7Gbps LPDDR5X is scheduled to begin by the second half of 2024.
