Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 a bit early. Samsung usually holds its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year in August. At the event, the company launches new phones and smartwatches. This year, it seems like the event might be coming a little sooner than expected.
According to Sammobile, the event will take place in late July this year instead of August, specifically somewhere between July 25 and July 27.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 is expected to come with a similar design to the Fold4. The device is also expected to be lighter and thinner than the Fold4. About the Galaxy Z Flip5, the device is rumored to feature a larger outer display. At the event, the company is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 6 with an upgraded chip, Galaxy Tab S9 series, new earbuds, and Galaxy SmartTag tracker.
Samsung hosted the second Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10 last year, where it introduced the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4. The company also launched the Galaxy Watch 5 as well as the Galaxy Buds 2.
The Google Pixel Fold could be the reason for Galaxy Fold5’s early launch this year. Google is preparing to launch the Pixel Fold next month at Google I/O ahead of a release in June. The Chinese company OnePlus is also launching its first foldable sometime in Q3.
