Samsung has included plenty of new features in its Android 12 update, ranging from a multifunctional upgrade on the Samsung keyboard to animated emoji. Among the many changes, the camera and gallery UI are visible as they take the user experience to a whole new level.

The native Camera UI adopts a simple and clear design in the Android 12/One UI 4.0 update, and the preview display only the information you need. The scene optimizer button will only appear in image mode when there is insufficient light or when scanning documents.

This is compared to One UI 3, where the expand button will be visible in all lighting conditions. The Portrait and Night mode settings are still accurate, so you can easily select the right amount of bokeh or adjust the night light.
In default photo mode, tap and hold the shutter button to speed up video recording as the default setting, but you can now swipe the button to record video in its place. This is very useful if you want to quickly record a video in level.
Pro Mode
Pro video mode and other small transitions with very clear text are used here. It might not make much difference, but you should also note that by default gridlines can be used here as well.
Pro mode settings have been simplified and rearranged for a clean look. When grid lines are on, the level indicator helps you adjust the lens with the best balance. You can now see the zoom level in the lens icon for the convenience of zooming in, or in a mode that supports only the main lens.
Video has also been improved, as you can now start recording by pressing the record button instead of releasing the button. It’s a minor problem, but it bothered me in previous versions of Samsung software.
SINGLE TAKE
With Single Take, you can now add extra time while recording so you don’t miss important moments. After the recording is complete, the material selection menu has been upgraded to make it easier for you to choose the right lens.
An unusual feature removed from the camera settings menu is the automatic use of the wide-angle lens for group selfies. This option is available on my Galaxy Z Fold 3 with One UI 3.1, but it is not available in the One UI 4 beta. Scanning the QR code in One UI 4 is very effective, and there are several options available according to the content of the scan code.
