Samsung One UI 7: Changes to Edge Panels and Edge Lighting+
Edge Panels: A Fading Feature
Samsung has announced that the Edge Panels Galaxy Store will no longer be available in One UI 7. This means you won’t be able to download new Edge Panels after updating to One UI 7. However, the Edge Panels you currently have installed will still work.
It’s important to note that if you uninstall an Edge Panel after updating to One UI 7, you won’t be able to reinstall it. So, make sure to keep any essential Edge Panels installed before updating.
Edge Lighting+ Gets a Boost
One UI 7 will bring improvements to the Edge Lighting+ feature. This feature adds colorful lighting effects to your phone’s edges when you receive notifications. With the update, Samsung will address compatibility issues with other features like Prism Lighting and the double-tap notification pop-up.
In the future, you’ll be able to use Edge Lighting+ and Prism Lighting together, as well as enable the double-tap notification pop-up without interfering with Edge Lighting+. This will provide more customization options and a better user experience.
