Samsung reclaimed top spot in European smartphone market in July 2021, Apple eyes on Q4
In August 2021, a Strategy Analytics report revealed that Xiaomi, the Chinese phone maker, surpassed Samsung in the European smartphone market in the second quarter. Meanwhile, a recent study shows that Samsung got recovered in just a month and reclaimed the top spot in July 2021.
As per the Counterpoint Research analyst, the Korean tech giant sold most of the smartphone units in Europe in July 2021. As we’ve just entered in the last (fourth) quarter of this year, the industry is eyeing on the performance report of the third quarter.
In the coming days or weeks, we will surely get information regarding the market condition of Q3 2021. Counterpoint Research analyst pointed out that Samsung is betting big on foldable as it had already canceled its high-profile Galaxy Note series.
However, the Chinese phone maker, Xiaomi eyes the affordable premium segment. In a recent development, the company announced that its recently launched Xiaomi 11T series will get at least three Android and four years of security updates, which could surely help to gain sales.

Not that all as Apple just launched its latest iPhone lineup – iPhone 13, which includes a 1TB memory variant as well. Additionally, the iPhone 13 series is equipped with several upgrades over its predecessors such as a 120Hz display and a more powerful camera.
