Samsung has finally made the ultimate 3D Map View feature available for users. This new tool makes controlling your smart home appliances easier and enhances the overall SmartThings experience. With this feature, Samsung is taking smart home control to a new level.

The 2D version of Map View only worked for homes where the floor plan was provided. Now, this 3D Map View eliminates the need to find each device separately and allows users to visualize their smart home devices and their real-time status in a virtual 3D manner.

This means by turning real floor plans into virtual images in the SmartThings app you can see the layout of your entire home and easily navigate through different rooms, all from the convenience of your Android and iOS smartphones.

This feature further makes device management more intuitive. 3D Map View also benefits from Spatial AI to accurately measure and map a home’s layout and let users easily understand the shape and spatial conditions of their homes on 3D maps using the SmartThings app.
