Samsung rolled out Android 13 update to 75% of its devices, but what about OnePlus?
OnePlus never miss a chance to provide ultimate features and fixes to its devices. The company looks after consumers’ needs and takes beneficial steps that can enhance user experience. But in recent times, the tech maker has slowed down in offering regular and major updates. While OnePlus is running behind, Samsung is leading the Android 13 update distribution race.
Yes, you read that right. So far, the Korean tech giant has released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software update to several devices ranging from high-end to entry-level models. To be specific, the company has circulated the ultimate upgrade to at least 75% of its smart gadgets. Eventually, this achievement made the company gain the tag of “fastest rollout with One UI 5“.

On the other hand, if we talk about OnePlus then many smartphone users are still waiting for the Android 13 update and praising Samsung regarding its concern for users. Though the Chinese manufacturer has pushed the OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, and OnePlus 9 and 8 series. Yet, there is no clue about when the Nord CE 2 and other eligible devices will receive this upgrade.
Besides, many OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 9 series owners are still gazing into the latest security update that remains stagnant for a long time. Thus, OnePlus should make efforts in solving such issues and provide timely firmware updates to its devices.
Why there is a delay?
A reason behind not expanding the OxygenOS 13 iteration among users could be the existing issues. After the major update installation, many OnePlus smartphone users complained about the battery, power, network, and performance-related defects. Consequently, the company might have stopped the distribution to patch up these voids in the system.
Though we still believe that it’s a quite long time, and OnePlus should take some prominent action on its update distribution activity.
