Samsung’s 2021 Neo QLEDs grabs ‘Gaming TV Performance’ certificate from VDE

On March 18, 2021, Samsung has made an announcement that its 2021 Neo QLEDs have become the first TV to receive gaming TV performance which is provided by VDE (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker) which is a well known electrical engineering certification in Germany.

The four models of the 2021 lineup with model numbers QN900, QN800, QN90, and QN85 have got this certification from the company. This means that these TVs have low input lag and HDR of higher than 1000 nits, while each of these models has gone through a serious testing process.

For smooth gameplay, they have earned a certification for less than 10ms (milliseconds) of input lag while playing high-resolution games. The input here is the time period when the game controller sends the en electric signal to when the output is shown on the screen

Yonghoon Choi, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics said, “An increasing number of gamers look for large screen displays with high-end picture quality when shopping for a TV, and Samsung continues to lead the TV-focused gaming experience.”

These smart TVs can also provide gaming action fast gaming at a 120Hz refresh rate through Motion Xcelerator Turbo+. The sound system is also enhanced that comes with AI-based surround and object tracking sound (OTS+).

Additionally, the Samsung Neo QLED has also got HDR certification with a peak brightness of more than 1000 nits. These television come with 100% color volume and 12-bit backlight control, which can provide more accurate details, deeper blacks, and an immersive viewing experience.
