Recently, the company has announced that Qualcomm Technologies has validated Samsung’s 14-nanometer (nm) based 16-gigabit (Gb) low power dual data rate 5X (LPDDR5X) DRAM for use on Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon mobile platform.

Moreover, since its launch Samsung has teamed up with Qualcomm Technologies to optimize its 7.5 (Gbps) LPDDR5X for use with the Snapdragon mobile platform. Samsung’s LPDDR5X offers ultra-high-resolution video recording, as well as AI, features such as voice recognition, image recognition, and natural language processing, 1.2 times faster than the 6.4Gbps LPDDR5 implemented on today’s premium smartphones.

Similarly, by adopting sophisticated circuit designs as well as dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS), LPDDR5X power consumption can be reduced by approximately 20%.

Also, the company will also look to expand its pacesetting mobile DRAM lineup with continued improvements in performance and power efficiency, as well as strengthen its market leadership with greater manufacturing coordination.

To keep up with the growing demand for premium DRAM solutions, Samsung is constantly developing low-power DRAM products that offer better performance and higher performance to support a growing range of next-generation systems.
