Second HarmonyOS 2 beta update for Huawei Mate 20 series adds new features, brings improvements
As Huawei speeds up the HarmonyOS 2 rollout, the Mate 20 devices have started to receive their second HarmonyOS 2 beta update via OTA. This update brings more added features along with some improvements and bug fixes that were previously reported by the users.
The Mate 20 devices were listed to receive the first beta update in the first phase of rollout that replaced the EMUI operating system with a brand new user interface, new control panel, service center, improved security, and more.

Now, the second beta mainly brings optimizations in the field such as sound, display, Wi-Fi stability, and contact app. Besides, it also improves system stability and enhances the overall system performance.
The Huawei Mate 20 beta testers have started to get the latest HarmonyOS 2.0 with beta version 2.0.0.127 upgraded from 2.0.0.116 and it is only limited to Chinese users. You can check below the adapting models of the Mate 20 series.

What about HarmonyOS 2 stable rollout?
Huawei has just recently released its first stable rollout starting with 18 topmost devices including the Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, Mate X, and MatePad Pro devices. These users are now eligible to install the stable version of the new HarmonyOS 2.0.
With this, the Chinese tech giant has started the stable rollout and speeding up the process of delivering the HM OS to more Huawei devices. Looking at this, we can expect a stable update for Mate 20 devices anytime.
