Park Jung-ho, co-CEO and vice chairman of SK Hynix, said today during an official government event that the company is considering a plan to double its production capacity.
Pak said the company is considering several strategic options, including expansion of equipment at domestic sites, mergers, and acquisitions. In any case, SK Hynix plans to invest in production using 300mm wafers.

In addition, the company plans to expand its product portfolio by offering semiconductor products to customers around the world for a variety of applications, including mobile devices, consumer electronics, and the automotive industry.
Recall that SK Hynix is one of the largest manufacturers of semiconductor memory. Sales of other types of semiconductor products account for only 2% of the company’s total revenue.
