Sony rolling out new update for Nier Replicant game, brings text filter for PlayStation 5 console
Even before the release of the PS5 console, it was known that an updated text filter would appear to prevent the use of obscene language in Twitter posts. The user was faced with the fact that he could not send a message about the Nier Replicant quit due to the action of this filter.
An updated version of the combat role-playing game Nier Replicant was released a few days ago. Twitter user Moe decided to share this good news with others. However, when trying to create a post, he encountered an updated text filter for the PS5 console.

The system recognized obscene vocabulary in his post and demanded to correct the sent text. Moe was perplexed and decided to share this with the public. As you can see in the screenshot below, there is no “foul language” in the text of the post.
It turned out that the filter recognized the combination of characters “.1.” like a curse word. As soon as the user removed the dots framing the number 1, he was able to create a post.
There was no official reaction from Sony. It looks like the updated system for dealing with toxic users still needs some work.
