The two drilling platforms purchased by SpaceX have been named after the two satellites of Mars, Phobos, and Deimos. They are currently located on the coast of Texas in the southern United States, close to the SpaceX launch site.

Musk previously stated that due to the size of the interstellar spacecraft, the rocket will generate huge noises when launching. Therefore, the launch site of the future interstellar spacecraft will need to be 30 kilometers away from the shore to ensure that the noise is reduced to an acceptable level. Considering that interstellar spacecraft will fly frequently in the future, it is necessary to build a maritime launch site.
