Taking inspiration from HarmonyOS, Xiaomi is creating MiOS empire

Posted on

Xiaomi has occupied the top sections in the news headlines these days and the reason is – MiOS which is said to be inspired by Huawei HarmonyOS. While Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for the Android 14-based MIUI 15 glimpse, the company is trying to enter the ‘Self-developed operating system’ stage.

Highlighting MiOS, the well-known X (Twitter) tipster @UniverseIce shared a new post saying that after Huawei HarmonyOS, Xiaomi is ready to remove the curtains from its self-developed operating system – MiOS. At the same time, Ice quoted that Vivo is also readying its own research and development system.

Giving a conclusion to the post – the tipster said that several Chinese mobile brands are planning to enter the era of fully self-developed operating systems, leaving the Google-Android surface.

If not completely, Xiaomi will bring MiOS to its Chinese fans, just like Huawei has limited HarmonyOS for the native region. Meanwhile, we can expect the continuation of MIUI for the global market. Things are mostly under the hood for the moment but it would be worth seeing how this matter takes turns in the upcoming days.
