TCL once again declared the concept of a foldable mobile phone, called Fold’n Roll, which combines the company’s “dragon hinge” hinge technology and an expandable display panel, and the result is a 6.87-inch mobile phone that can be increased to 8.85 inches and 10 inches in size.

Additionally, the company did not give any other detailed information. “Fold’n’Roll” itself adopts a concave folding mechanism with the screen outwards, which is 6.87 inches when folded, and the display area after unfolding can reach 8.85 inches, and after further stretching, the screen area can be “increased” to 10. inch.

TCL stated that it is “still exploring the technical specifications of this type of equipment,” although Fold n’Roll will not be available soon. But TCL stated it intends to launch some kind of foldable phone before the end of 2021.

Able to bend and stretch, TCL releases the Fold’n Roll concept: 6.87-inch mobile phone can be transformed into a 10-inch tablet. Foldable phones are currently mostly high-end devices.

And TCL may be able to provide a lower-cost option. Samsung has hinted that it will release a lower-cost flexible device, but before that, its current Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold 2 are still very expensive.
