A free performance patch for The Last of Our Part 2 that upgrades the game for the PlayStation 5 is now available. The update mainly brings frame rate improvements to the game.
Last of Us Part 2 was launched a few months before the PS5 release. When it is considered the biggest release of 2020, the next-generation patch is approaching. Sony has just released the surprisingly launched upgrade, Patch 1.08, and is now available.

The patch is free for anyone who owns The Last of Our Part 2. Aiming at 60 frames per second instead of 30 is a very significant increase. After downloading, players can jump into the game’s display options and toggle between two frame rates.
Sony noted in a blog post that the update will go hand in hand with the basic improvements available through the backward compatibility on the PS5. That said, players can already experience “better resolution, faster loading times, and more” for the game on the PS5.
Sony hints that more patches for other games are coming soon. It calls it the “first step to working on the PS5” and will have more news to share soon. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
