The latest Windows 10 is now installed on 80% PCs worldwide
AdDuplex has published the results of a recent study of the prevalence of different versions of the Windows 10 operating system. As of the end of April, the most recent major Windows 10 update (October update labeled 20H2) is on the verge of breaking into a leadership position.
This OS version gained a 40.1% share, representing a solid growth from 29.9% in March. Nevertheless, the May update of last year Windows 10 2004 is in first place with a share of 40.6%, having slightly lost in popularity from 42.1% in Mars.

Third place belongs to Windows 10 Fall 2019 Update 1909, which now has a share of 11.1%. This version of the OS is rapidly losing its share, its support will end very soon – on May 11, 2021. Microsoft is already warning users about this and recommends switching to more recent versions of the OS.
In fourth, the fifth, and sixth place are the versions 1903 with 3.3%, 1803 with 1.4% and 1809 with 1%. They are all no longer supported by Microsoft.
