Posted on

With the launch of Android 13 this fall, some Android devices have been blessed with the themed icons feature. But it seems that some apps don’t get the Android 13 Themed Icons support on the Non-Pixel phones.

The themed icons feature gives the ability to users to tint all the application icons with the color of the wallpaper. It provides different color palettes so as to unify the overall theme of the user interface.

The Android 13 themed icons are supported by a huge list of third-party apps on Pixel devices. But What about the Non-Pixel phones? Does every Google App get support for Android 13 themed icons on Non-Pixel phones?

So the answer is no, currently, there are only 12 apps that have support for themed icons on other Android devices. You can check the list given below to know which Google apps support the new feature:

  • Google Chrome
  • Contacts
  • Duo
  • Gmail
  • Google Search
  • Google Keep Notes
  • Google Maps (beta)
  • Google Meet
  • Google Messages
  • Google Photos
  • Google Play Store
  • YouTube

Whereas there are many apps that still do not support the new feature on the other Android devices/non-Pixel devices. Some of those apps are mentioned below.

You can clearly see the comparison of themed icons on Pixel phones and other Android devices in the above image.

On the other side, there are more than 50 Google apps that support the themed icons on Pixel devices.

However, we can expect that in the coming time Google can roll out the support for more apps on other Android devices.
