Toyota has revealed its first fully-electric SUV”bZ4X”. It is the first Electric vehicle in Toyota’s bZ series, that is dedicated to its upcoming EV line-up.
The new Toyota bZ4X is developed together with the Subaru corporation with a goal to make an offroad capable electric vehicle. This new electric Suv uses an e-TNGA platform, which positioned the batteries under the floor. This design improves the center of gravity of the vehicle, also increases the cabin space and chassis rigidity.
New bZ4X features a sharp design with thin LED headlamps, LED taillights, and large 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior of the car is also equipped with features such as a Fully-digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system with mobile connectivity, and a wing-shaped steering wheel.
The bZ4X is powered by a 71.4 kWh battery pack connected with an AC motor. Toyota offers the bZ4X in two variants: 2WD and 4WD. The 2WD variant comes with a 150kW motor that produces 201 bhp of power and the 4WD variant comes with an 80 kW motor on both excels that produces 215 bhp of power.
Toyota is planning to enter the EV market of the US, China, Europe, and Japan. with the help of its bZ series. To make this possible Toyota has planned to launch 7 more vehicles by 2025.
