Twitter will fully comply with US government regulatory requirements: Musk
Twitter boss Elon Musk told employees on Thursday that he intends to fully comply with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requirements of the company. The departure of three top Twitter executives responsible for privacy, information security, and compliance has led to doubts about whether Musk will abide by Twitter’s previous settlement with the FTC.

A lawyer for Twitter’s privacy team revealed that he had heard Musk’s personal lawyer, Alex Spiro, now Twitter’s legal director, said that Musk was willing to take huge risks for Twitter and its users, because “Musk sent a rocket into space, and he’s not afraid of the FTC.”
In response, Musk and Spiro sent separate emails to Twitter employees explaining their positions. “I want to stress again that Twitter will make every effort to comply with the terms and spirit of the FTC consent order,” Musk said. “Any information you read to the contrary is absolutely false.
