We’re bubbles too: New Samsung ad forces Apple to support RCS

Posted on

After Google, Samsung has also started nagging Apple for RCS support. The South Korean tech giant recently dropped a new ad on YouTube and claimed that ‘Green bubbles and blue bubbles want to be together’, citing that the company is on Google’s side in this matter.

The 30-second Samsung ad begins with two phone interfaces texting each other. Here, an iPhone is playing the role of Juliet while Android is the Romeo. Ironically, Juliet’s parents (Apple) won’t let her talk to Romeo via RCS and continue to restrict the communication via green bubbles.

Ahead, the conversation goes like this:

Juliet: I tried but they want to keep us apart. I just don’t understand.

Romeo: What did Green ever do to them? We’re bubbles too.

Juliet: And literally everyone wants us to be together. Ugh.

It sounds both funny and weird at the same time. Though the message is clear from this ad – Samsung has joined Google’s campaign and is trying to force Apple to support RCS. Let’s see how far this matter will stretch and what outcomes we will get in the time ahead.
