WhatsApp bringing ‘Expiring Media’ feature for photos, videos and GIFs
WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Expiring Media, which is an extension to the Expiring Messages. When a user decides to send an expiring media including images, videos, and GIFs in the chatroom, it’ll disappear from the recipient’s phone, after the user leaves the chatroom.
This feature is currently under development and recently appeared with WhatsApp beta version 2.20.201.1, while it’s yet to rollout as a stable update (reports Wabetainfo).

Once enabled, the user can send the media with new number sign button on the create section.
After clicking the button, the feature will be applied for selected media.
There’s no time limit at the moment because it’ll automatically expire once the user opens the image. Moreover, there is no track about a screenshot detection for expiring media either.
